Each week on Wednesday and Saturday mornings the Methodist Church in Northallerton opens its hall as a café called the Coffee Pot. During August they generously offer charitable organisations the chance to run the Coffee Pot for the benefit of their charity.
Recently,

Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Northallerton eagerly took on roles of waiters and kitchen staff to serve members of the public with a wide selection of quality coffees, tea, toasted tea cakes, scones, and home-made cake. Many of the customers were regulars to the café, but some had travelled from wider afield to sample the delights of Northallerton. Thanks to the generosity of the Church and several donations in addition to payment for refreshments, the Rotary Club made a worthy amount of money for local and international projects.
Rotary Club President David Ison said, “We are very grateful to the Methodist Church for giving us this opportunity once again to serve the public and raise some funds for our charities. This was a great way for our Club to be seen in action in the local community.”
